About Us
Bishop Cyrinus Okon Akpan Foundation has been working since 2020 but was officially inaugurated on December 2, 2023 with the mission to provide humanitarian services to communities and individuals in need. The organization was established by a group of passionate individuals who recognized the pressing need for support and assistance in various areas such as healthcare, education, and social welfare.
Since 2020, which was also a year of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bishop Cyrinus Okon Akpan Foundation has made significant strides in fulfilling its mission. The organization has successfully implemented numerous projects and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of individuals and communities. These initiatives have included providing medical aid to pregnant women, children and the aged, offering educational support to children in remote communities, and conducting community development programmes to empower local residents start up businesses or expand on an existing ones.
Through its dedicated team and partnerships with local and international organizations, Bishop Cyrinus Okon Akpan Foundation has been able to reach and positively impact the lives of countless individuals. Bishop Cyrinus Okon Akpan Foundation yearly and quarterly line up of programme of activities:
- Community Outreach and Support:
(a) We conduct outreach programmes to identify and address the needs of vulnerable in the community.
(b) Provide food, clothing, and medical supplies to the less privileged.
- Health and hygiene Initiatives:
(a) Collaborate with local health authorities- hospitals and health centers to organize health camps and will provide free surgical, ophthalmological, and dental services to the needy.
(b) Implement sanitation and hygiene education programmes to promote better health practices.
- Education and Skill Development:
(a) Offer educational support to children in underprivileged homes, including back to school supplies ( like school bags, books, pen and pencils and uniforms) and tutoring services. (b) Provide vocational training and skill development programmes for youth and adults to improve their employability.
- Advocacy and Awareness Campaigns:
(a) Raise awareness about human rights issues, gender equality, and social justice through advocacy campaigns and workshops.
(b) Organize community discussions and seminars to promote understanding and empathy for marginalized groups.

(a) Implement sustainable development projects, such as clean water initiatives, renewable energy programmes, and agricultural support, to improve the long-term well-being of communities and individuals.

This will be done through education, advocacy and collaboration with local and international partners.
